Choice Work
It's not a perfect world. The public might want both more services and lower taxes, but they know that option isn't credible. Choice work invites participants to consider three credible options to a given challenge. Each option comes with its own strengths and weaknesses. Experience shows that if you provide people with an opportunity to deliberate on credible choices, even on very complex issues, you'll be impressed with the outcomes. Typically, these initiatives push people to examine underlying values, the kind that don't change after a shocking headline or a change in the weather.
Engaging the general public, members within an organization or a community of stakeholders. Choice work is not by itself a decision making process. It allows participants and sponsors the opportunity to gain new insights into complex issues and see how thinking evolves as thoughtful consideration takes hold.
