Foresight Methodology

Description

Imagine if the rearview mirror you could see was located twenty years into the future.  Foresight methodology has gained international credibility. European and Asian governments are investing heavily in the process and global corporations such as Royal Dutch Shell regularly use it to inform their long-range planning.  In Canada, Foresight has been put to use by such varied organizations as the Canadian Medical Association, the National Research Council, Defence R & D Canada, and Learn New Brunswick.

Foresight brings together an interdisciplinary cross-section of experts to exchange their knowledge of trends and looming developments in their fields of expertise.  Multiple, plausible future scenarios are generated by participants, providing new insights into the strategies that best support desired outcomes.

Usage

Where a company or organization wishes to enrich their conversation, planning and understanding of options and futures by drawing on the perspective of a broad cross-section of experts and stakeholders drawn from both within and outside their community.
