Our Approach

There's no single approach to dialogue and deliberation that fits every circumstance.  In fact, the first challenge is to work with our clients to develop options that respect the project's mission, the political environment and available resources.  We can help design the program, manage its implementation, and write the findings, but it's not like buying a toaster.  A successful project requires the visible support and active participation of the sponsoring client.

About Other Dialogue and Deliberation Methods

Quite frankly, the list of intriguing approaches to dialogue and deliberation is growing by leaps and bounds.  Many methodologies, such as Study Circles and Sustained Dialogue, focus on community or international challenges characterized by profound racial or ethnic tensions.  Other methodologies have taken root across the globe, but have had not yet had widespread application in Canada for example, citizen juries have impressive results in Australia and the UK, America Speaks has an extraordinary history in the United States.  We have chosen to highlight approaches that are most in keeping with our own experience and professional practice.
